Introduction to Kiviza 1gm Injection

Kiviza 1gm Injection contains an active component of sulbactum sodium. It is a semi-synthetic beta-lactamase inhibitor antibiotic. It has good inhibitory activity against beta-lactamase enzyme-producing bacteria. Hence, it is most commonly used with other antibiotics to treat various drug-resistant bacteria. However, Kiviza 1gm injection alone has a direct antimicrobial activity against the Acinetobacter species, Bacteroides fragilis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Neisseria meningitidis.

Do not take this medication if you are allergic to penicillin or other antibiotics. Avoid this medication if you are affected by mononucleosis (a viral infection). Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD) is the most common side effect reported during this treatment. Tell your doctor if you are taking probenecid since it may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment with sulbactam. Do not take this medicine with other medications unless advised by your doctor. Always give your doctor a detailed account of your medical history and medications and follow-up regularly while receiving treatment.

Therapeutic Effects of Kiviza 1gm Injection

Kiviza 1gm injection is an irreversible inhibitor of β-lactamase. It binds with the penicillin-binding proteins (PBP) of specific bacterial species exhibiting direct antimicrobial activity.
